Clean rooms

Clean rooms are a series of rooms in which particle concentration is controlled in order to minimise the introduction, generation or retention of particles. Environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity and relative pressure are also maintained at a precise level (definition according to ISO 14644-1).

Produced by the company Euroflux, the 270m² of clean spaces at the PIT are divided into areas with two levels of cleanliness: 4 rooms in ISO 8 (class 100,000) and 5 rooms in ISO 7 (class 10,000). Each room in the ISO7 zone is also equipped with one to three linear meters of ISO5 laminar flow (class 100) on a work bench.
In the clean rooms the PIT makes the following facilities available:
  • Equipment for visual inspection: trinocular magnifier, UV inspection lamp.
  • A shared visual inspection area: metrological control with the Micro-Vu measurement centre (precision table, InSpec software, CDD camera, dedicated computer).
  • A shared "pollutant" integration zone: welds with suction, gluing and gluing preparations, degassing, polymerisations, ovens, light sanding.
  • A shared storage area (shelves, trolleys, component cabinets) and EEE packaging and conventional packaging, heat sealing.

The clean rooms are equipped with a technical corridor on three sides which allow the rooms to be visited, the integrations and experiments to be monitored from outside and control systems for the experiments and integration testing to be installed (computers, oscilloscopes, etc.)

  • Control of the access to testing and integration rooms
  • Remote supervision of testing and IP cameras
  • Constant temperature and hygrometry measurements
  • Particle measurements daily and on-demand
