Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Changes (NDACC)

The NDACC observation service approved by INSU is the French contribution to the international network, Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Changes (NDACC), initially dedicated to the study of stratospheric ozone and, today, extended to the study of the upper troposphere and the mesosphere.

The objective is to measure continuously over the long term (decades) the concentration of ozone and associated parameters from the ground using various instruments approved by the international steering committee, then by the INSU commission. The service to the community consists of operating and ensuring the maintenance and updating of these instruments, with a different frequency for each instrument (<weekly), on several sites (including three under French responsibility) and to make the data acquired available to a large community.
