The hives of OVSQ

  • In 2014, the Observatory set up 10 beehives in partnership with Ma Ruche à la Maison (My Hive at Home). Alban Augé, the beekeeper, takes care of the bees and collects around 90 kg of honey every year.
  • Ma Ruche à la Maison, a small human-sized company, aims to convey its passion for bees, by helping families, businesses and communities to understand the world of beekeeping.
  • Every year, the honey from the Observatory is sold in the main building but it is also possible to buy it and other local honeys all year round depending on the availability of stock.
  • Alban Augé also sells soaps, sweets and many products made from honey.
