Doctoral Thesis at OVSQ

DURATION OF STUDIES: 3 years
TEACHING SITE: Versailles, Guyancourt (Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines)
GRADUATE EDUCATION

The doctorate is conducted within doctoral schools in accordance with the provisions of the decree of August 7, 2006. It is an education in and through research which can be done through both initial and continuing education formats.
The recommended period of preparation for the doctorate is three years, with the possibility of a derogatory extension if approved by the thesis director and the director of the Doctoral School and after agreement from the Head of the establishment.

The thesis is prepared in one of five doctoral schools:

• in one of the research laboratories attached to it and following acceptance by the relevant authorities
• under the supervision and responsibility of a thesis director who is a lecturer-researcher or a researcher accredited to supervise research at UVSQ.

The qualification of doctor is conferred after public defence of the thesis (with some exceptions).
